In the Cornish dialect of English, Pokemon meant ‘clumsy’ (pure coincidence).
In the mid 1800s there was a surge of writing about the Cornish language and dialect in an attempt to preserve them with glossaries and dictionaries being written. I wrote about it HERE.

Yeah, this is pretty much what I was thinking. So instead of showing skinny white, cis, physically abled women you’re showing average size white, cis, physically abled women and no-one else?

A note to the people of privilege who only reluctantly introduce “diverse” models: this is not diversity. I wouldn’t even class it as anything more than a tenth of a baby step.

The observatory of Ujjain was considered the prime meridian, as Greenwich England is today, making it the baseline for all astronomical observations.)From his observations he deduced that the moon is closer to the earth than the sun is, and that the earth and heavenly bodies are all spheres. His calculation of the length of the solar year is accurate to within about half an hour!
